Matthew enjoys a busy schedule working with a variety of ensembles in London and South East England.

Matthew is Artistic Director of East London Music Group (ELMG), which he co-founded in 2015. The group gives performances in East London, commissions new works, and collaborates with local educations and community organisations.
In recent years ELMG has commissioned works from composers Robin Haigh, Edward Nesbit, Charlotte Harding, Leo Geyer, Effy Efthymiou, Jonathan Pease, Ella Jarman-Pinto, and Lloyd Coleman.

A bustling music centre in Tower Hamlets, East London Community Band (ELCB) comprises eight ensemble and provides individual tuition for children and adults.
Matthew assumed the post of overall Director of Music of ELCB in 2015 and has presided over a fourfold increase in membership.

CoMA (Contemporary Music for All) exists to celebrate participation in new music-making as a meaningful and essential part of musical life.
CoMA London Ensemble takes the form of a chamber orchestra and welcomes players of all standards and instruments. The ensemble frequently collaborates with established and up-and-coming composers, recently working with Michael Finnissy, Stephen Montague, Kate Whitley, and others.
Matthew took over leadership of CoMA London Ensemble in 2019.

St. Albans Rehearsal Orchestra (SARO) is a community orchestra in Hertfordshire which holds weekly light-hearted rehearsals and gives concerts at local primary schools.
