Striking Sparks: The Story of the Matchgirls

A concert celebrating the story of the Bow Matchgirls Strike of 1888, including the premiere of A Fair Field by Jonathan Pease, for massed community choirs and wind orchestra.

The performance will involve singers from five community choirs, including a children’s choir recruited specifically for the event, and a wind orchestra on stage in the magnificent Great Hall of the People’s Palace in Queen Mary University of London.
